Pezzaz Academy

The Pezzaz Academy is advanced coaching for children that have been identified as having potential from reception year through to school year six. The sessions are invitation only and only players that we think will excel in this kind of learning environment are selected. Selection is based on an attitude to learning, and an understanding of the importance of individual practice, rather than just ability. The groups are made up of like minded players, creating an accelerated learning environment, where children can flourish and fulfil their potential.

The focus of the Academy is on individual player development rather than team training. All aspects of team play are coached but in a player centric way rather than the focus being on a team getting results. Therefore there is no need to hold trials as there is no structured games programme and no team to improve. It also means that players do not get released from our Academy which creates a unique coaching environment where players can express themselves without fear of failure. This is the key ingredient that has made our Academy so successful over the past few years and has led Southampton FC to endorse us and forge strong links together. Having no games programme also means that there are no clashes with the player’s club commitments. We do very occasionally play matches but our focus is on the individual development of our players and the progression to Southampton FC.

Although predominately invitation only, players that don’t attend regular Pezzaz sessions can apply for our Fast Track Entry Scheme. Please contact us for more information.
